Loving Vincent is a remarkable film. My involvement was to shoot the live action underpinnings of what was to become the world's first fully painted movie. We shot with full costume on green screen, partial sets and full sets, fully propped, sometimes in colour, sometimes in black and white. On the right above you can see some of the original footage which was then reprojected and painted over, a frame at a time, by hand....
